"Mary Poppins" to fly high
BALLINGER - The Ballinger Broadway Company is proud to present the fall musical “Mary Poppins” to the public at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 19 at the Ballinger High School auditorium. Admission for each performance will be $5.
Concessions will be provided before the show and during intermission. DVDs of each public performance will also be available to pre-order at the door. The cost for DVDs will be $15 per performance or $25 for both performances. The public is invited to become part of the performance by purchasing magic star wands at the door for $5 each. This is the first completely live-accompanied musical performed by Ballinger’s high school and junior high students. The audience will be entertained as they bring the story of the Banks’ and their “practically perfect” nanny to the Ballinger stage.
Old Fashioned Christmas Dec. 1
BALLINGER - Runnels County CPS presents "An Old Fashioned Christmas" at the Carnegie Library December 1-2. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dinner show is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available at Ballinger City Hall, the Carnegie Library, Higginbothams and the Winters Tax Office.
Senior Citizen lunch
BALLINGER - The First United Methodist Church in Ballinger will provide a free lunch to Ballinger senior citizens on the second Tuesday of each month at the Senior Citizens Center. The meal will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The doors will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make time for seniors attending to have time for visiting and fellowship. Anyone who needs a ride to the lunch, please call 365-2323. Wheelchairs cannot be transported.
