Two Ballinger High School students were selected to perform in the All-District Choir in Odessa on Saturday.

Two Ballinger High School students were selected to perform in the All-District Choir in Odessa on Saturday.

Jackson Miller, a senior, and Benjamin Colombo, a junior, both students at Ballinger High School, took places in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 6 All-Region Choir as a result of auditions held Saturday, September 30, at Permian High School in Odessa. They took places in the choir by placing in the top six chairs of their sections.

They will participate in the TMEA Region 6 All-Region Choir Clinic and Concert at 6 p.m. at Permian High School in in Odessa this Saturday, November 4. Admission is $5 oer person and is open to all. Miller and Columbo are looking forward to support from their community.

The two students also advanced to Pre-Area Auditions for Small School All-State Choir, to be held November 16 at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene.

Miller was a member of the Region 7 All-Region Choir his sophomore year and the Region 6 All-Region Choir his junior year. Both students are very active members of the Ballinger Bearcat Band. They have both taken Division I (Superior) ratings on vocal and/or instrumental solos at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
