Elections are slated in Runnels County on Tuesday Nov, 7. Five candidates have filed to run for four seats on the Ballinger Memorial Hospital District Board.
Incumbent and Board President Mike Dankworth will be running along with Dr. Bradly Bundrant, Bill Hunter, Brenda Joyce Waterfill and Bryan Jennings.
All of the candidates were asked to fill out a questionnaire and candidate profile. Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 23.

Name: Brenda Joyce Owens Waterfill, AKA Joyce Waterfill.

Occupation: Retired /owned Medical Billing Company.

Education: Graduated from Ballinger High School in 1964, Cosmetology School.

Clubs, Organizations: Director of Ballinger Noon Lions Club, Member Ministerial Alliance, Past Department Kentucky State President of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Past Worthy Matron of Chapter 366, Chairman Benevolence Team, Volunteer for the Ballinger Hospice.

Family: Married for 53 years to Ronald Lee, daughter Beverly Allgeier, five grandchildren and one great grandson.

What are most important issues you want to address if elected or re-elected to the board of the Ballinger Memorial Hospital?

If elected to the hospital board my most important issues would be to help ensure that the residents of Ballinger continue to get the best care from either the clinic or the hospital at all times.

What do you think you can bring to the district if elected?

I can bring experience from formerly serving on the board and with that experience I can have a better insight on how to make decisions that will benefit our community.

What do you feel qualifies you for a position on the Ballinger Memorial Hospital District Board?

I have 35 years experience in the medical field as an office manager, human resources for a nursing home and owning my own medical billing company. This gives me an insight into all forms of the medical field and allows me to be able to make decisions that will benefit the community.
