MILES - The Cross Country teams traveled to Mason last week where the boys won the meet with four top 11 finishers. Alive Lozano placed seventh; Joe Meza placed eighth, Imanol Zea placed 10th and Sam Cruz placed 11th.

MILES - The Cross Country teams traveled to Mason last week where the boys won the meet with four top 11 finishers. Alive Lozano placed seventh; Joe Meza placed eighth, Imanol Zea placed 10th and Sam Cruz placed 11th.

The girls also had top 10 finishers with Jessica Hinds finishing seventh in the junior high division eighth and Kenna Kraatz finishing ninth in the varsity division. They will compete in the Bob Fuller Classic Invitational in Miles Monday, Sept. 18.

Varsity volleyball lost in a very competitive five game set versus Sonora while the JV won, and the freshman team lost. Miles Junior High Volleyball also beat Bronte at a home game. This week, the Lady Dogs play TLCA in San Angelo and Grape Creek on Saturday.

The Miles Bulldogs lost 28-21 in a tight game against Rocksprings Friday. The junior high football starts today with the team facing the Irion County Hornets. The varsity faces the Hornets Friday night in Mertzon.
