RUNNELS COUNTY - A Texas Pacifico train derailed at 11 p.m. Wednesday, the Runnels County Sheriff's Office reports.
There were reportedly six cars hauling fracking sand that derailed, Sheriff Carl Squyres reported.
When the derailment occurred, a portion of the rail landed on Highway 67 and caused an accident.
The RCSO reports that there were two men traveling in a vehicle and the passenger was transported to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries.
