Some races have emerged in several elections to be held Nov. 7. Filings continue through Aug. 21.

Three candidates have filed to run for the Ballinger City Council including Jason Gore and Anita Martinez for Single Member District 1 currently held by Phillip Arp and Amanda Collom for Single Member District Place 2, currently held by Darlene Kelly. No one has filed to run for mayor a position currently held by Sam Mallory.

Both incumbents for the Ballinger ISD board of trustees have filed including Manuel Galvan, Single Member District 1 and Dale Halfmann, Single Member District 6.

One incumbent and one new candidate have filed to run for two of the three seats on the Winters ISD board of trustees. Jim Lincycomb, incumbent for Place 5 has filed and Chris Bahlman has filed to run for the Place 6 seat currently held by Jerry Sims.

Three have filed to run for at large seats on the Ballinger Memorial Hospital District Board including Dr. Bradley Bundrant, Joyce Waterfill a former member of the board and incumbent Mike Dankworth, who is president of the board.

North Runnels Hospital has three at-large positions up for election. So far, Eva Reyna is the only person who has filed. Incumbents Joe Guajardo and Scotty Belew had not filed as of Monday. Incumbent, Lloyd Farris resigned his position in July.

The deadline to file in each of the elections is Aug. 21.
