BALLINGER – An individual dubbed the “tire bandit,” was arrested Monday by the Ballinger Police Department, in connection with a series of alleged tire thefts at Toliver Brothers and Bagwell Fuels.

BALLINGER – An individual dubbed the “tire bandit,” was arrested Monday by the Ballinger Police Department, in connection with a series of alleged tire thefts at Toliver Brothers and Bagwell Fuels.

Lance Allen Lister, 39, of San Angelo, was arrested Monday, July 10, Police Chief Stan Maresch.

“At the time of his arrest, Lister was found with stolen articles from Walmart they may have been used in the incident,” Maresch reported.

Lister was charged with burglary of a building, theft of property  $2,500 to $30,000, both state jail felonies, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of service, He remains in custody at the Runnels County Jail on bonds totaling $64,250.

Maresch said Lister is being investigated for his involvement in at least two other reported incidents.

“He may also be connected to two other incidents that took place from June to July 10 between San Angelo and Ballinger,” Maresch said.
