BALLINGER - A routine traffic stop on June 30, resulted in the arrest of three individuals who were later charged with drug and paraphernalia possession as well as possession of prohibited weapons.

BALLINGER - A routine traffic stop on June 30, resulted in the arrest of three individuals who were later charged with drug and paraphernalia possession as well as possession of prohibited weapons.

Ballinger Police Chief Stan Marsh said the three were charged after a search of the vehicle netted a cache of reported drugs, paraphernalia and illegal weapons.

Maresh said the search resulted in the seizure of 9.6 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, a switchblade and brass knuckles. There were also needles and other items discovered in the vehicle.

“The Ballinger Police Department would like to thank the Winters PD for usage of their K-9 officer in locating the narcotics,” Maresh said. Jarrod L. Clark, 32, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, second degree felony, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, first degree felony; possession of marijuana and possession of a prohibited weapon, knuckles. He remains in custody at the Runnels County Jail on bonds totaling $29,250.

Vanessa Rivas. 26, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of a prohibited weapon, knuckles. She was released on Saturday, June 8 after posting a bond totaling $26,750.

Jennifer M. Minjarez, 36, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited weapon knuckles. She remains in custody at the Runnels County Jail on bonds totaling $26,750.
