SAN ANGELO - Rick Trevino performs live in concert at the Whiskey River Saloon, 125 E. Concho Ave. in downtown San Angelo on Saturday, July 8. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Rick Trevino is a Grammy-Award winning country music artist. Signed to Columbia Nashville in 1993, Trevino began his career that year with the release of his debut single, "Just Enough Rope," the first mainstream country music single to feature separate English and Spanish-language versions. The song was included on his debut album "Dos Mundos." A self-titled album followed a year later. Trevino has charted a total of fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three #1 singles and has recorded seven studio albums.

Farmers Market Saturday

BALLINGER - The Ballinger Farmers Market held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Ballinger. Vendors will line 8th Street in front of Higginbotham's and will be selling a variety of items including fresh produce, handcrafted items, jams, jellies, baked goods and much more. Vendor space is free, and vendors must provide the tables. The Farmers Market will run through September.

Carnegie Library Summer Program

BALLINGER - The Carnegie Library Summer Program will include activities through the end of July for children and families. This year, the theme for the Summer Reading Program is "Build a Better World," which will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 in the Shakespeare Room. The next special program is slated for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19 when Dru Woods Puppetry will be featured in the auditorium. The end of summer program party will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26.
